Is cryotherapy safe?

Yes. Cryotherapy is a low-risk procedure that delivers a highly targeted freeze to the lesion without damaging the surrounding healthy tissue. Our device is both CE and FDA approved, ensuring high standards of safety and effectiveness.

Does it hurt?

You may experience a brief stinging sensation similar to a nettle sting, as the nitrous oxide reaches the base of the lesion. Any residual discomfort is mild and usually fades within minutes.

How long does treatment take?

Treatment time varies depending on the size and depth of the lesion but is typically very fast – between 1 to 30 seconds per lesion. Your nurse will assess the area and determine the appropriate duration.

Are there any side effects?

After treatment, the area may darken in colour or form a small crust or blister as part of the natural healing process. Rest assured this is temporary and typically resolves within a few weeks, with the skin returning to its normal tone over time. Your nurse will provide full aftercare guidance.

How long does recovery take?

Most clients experience little to no downtime. Any post-treatment changes to the skin, such as darkening or dryness, usually resolve within 4-6 weeks.
